Meet the creators
Beast Out! started as our own version of Palace, a game we’ve played for years. House rule by house rule, it got more chaotic and more fun, until it stopped feeling like a variation and became something of our own.
-
Ivan J. Kuri
Game designer & project lead
Tabletop games, especially Dungeons & Dragons, pushed me from playing games to making them. Beast Out! began as a way to liven up our game nights, and it’s my first step into publishing. I hope it brings you the same moments it’s brought us.
-
Omar J. Kuri
Co-creator & worldbuilder
I love stories and the worlds you can build around them. I helped shape the tone of the game and gave the monsters their personalities, so there’s something for people to gather around and turn into their own stories.
-
Paola Civeira
Illustrator & visual designer
A multimedia designer and illustrator with more than five years of freelance work in book covers, posters, merch and animation. I drew the monster-filled world of Beast Out!, giving every card its own character and charm.
FAQ
When does the Kickstarter launch?
Tuesday, January 12, 2027. Join the horde and we’ll remind you a week before, then email you the moment it’s live.
How much will Beast Out! cost?
$20 on Kickstarter, or $15 for the first backers while the limited Early Beast spots last. Shipping is added after the campaign.
Can I try it before I back it?
Yes! Join the horde and you’ll get a free 36-card print-and-play demo. Print it, cut it, and play it tonight.
How many people can play?
2 to 6 players, ages 14 and up. A game takes 10 to 30 minutes.
What’s in the box?
58 cards (44 number cards, 12 wild cards and 2 blank cards for your own house rules) and a rulebook, in a two-piece box.
What language is it in?
The cards work in any language. The printed rulebook is in English, and a Spanish rulebook is a free download.
Where will you ship?
The United States and Mexico for the first print run. We’d love to reach Canada and Europe in a future one.
When will I get my game?
We plan to ship in June 2027, about four months after the campaign ends.
Why does the trailer say “Beast Out! Palace”?
That was the game’s name in its early builds, a nod to Palace, the classic card game that inspired it. We later decided to call it just Beast Out!, but the trailer was made before the change. Same game, same monsters.
What do I get for joining?
Two monster posters and a 36-card print-and-play demo right after you confirm your email. After that: game news, the Kickstarter launch date, and exclusive lore and short stories about the monsters during the pre-campaign and the campaign.
